Trainee judges: none so far (those interested may send an application to AFCB stating their reasons and describing their experience with horses in general and Barb horses in particular).
Breed Class Rules Only members of the AFCB are entitled to enter a horse in a breed class. This clause does not apply to stallion licensing classes. Any stallion owner who wishes to present a stallion must pay processing and entry fees for an amount set out by AFCB’s Steering Committee. Members are exempted from processing fees which in this case are covered by the association. Only entires that are duly registered in the French Barb horse or Arabian Horse stud book may be entered and presented for licensing. Only horses that are duly registered in the French Barb horse stud book may be entered and presented in breed classes. The original copy of the horse’s official documents are required to be shown at the venue. Horses whose behaviour is deemed to be dangerous will be excluded and their owner may not claim any refund of any sort. Entry fees: Entry fees and, where applicable, processing fees must be paid by cheque written out to AFCB and sent at least 10 days prior to the event together with the complete file to the person in charge of events appointed by the Steering Committee whose details appear on the entry forms. The average is a score out of 20. - To qualify for the European Championship or the World Championship, horses must first obtain a score of 16. Selection thereafter is based on places available starting with the highest score. - To become a licensed stallion, the applicant must obtain a score of 16 (only if the horse is presented at a stallion approval class). Arabian stallions presented for licensing are not given scores. They simply are attributed the “approved” or “adjourned” status depending on how many members of the judges’ panel are in favour or against.
